Just some of my thoughts and opinions on the comics of the new DC 52, obviously I can only comment on the titles I have, and not all of them, as I don't have them all and will not be getting every single NEW DC 52 title.
I've separated them into categories
*The WOW! Factor*
Aquaman
What can I say about this book, Man, it's the biggest surprise for me of the NEW 52, DC Comics has managed to do something I never thought they could, made Aquman
AWESOME!! This is just a fantastic book and one I never thought I would add to the list of comics I get, the Trench are great villains, and I like that they kept Mera and Aquaman's relationship intact, unlike some other new 52 titles did with their main characters.
AQUAMAN

Frankenstein agent of S.H.A.D.E
Another book that surprised me, it's just a good book, artworks not great but it fits with what the character and story is, and I love how father time generates a new body ever decade and this time he's a little Japanese girl in a school girl outfit with a mask, it's just funny, and Ray Palmer is in it, but I don't think he's the Atom which is a shame but he still has his shrinking technology and Frankenstein is just a much better character this time than he's been in any previous book, and this is something different than your typical superhero book and that I like.
FRANKENSTEIN

OMAC
Again, another book I never even thought about getting, it's good, not a great book or an outstanding one, but just good, a simple beat'em up, and brother eye sure has a hard on for Cadmus, again not your typical superhero book.
OMAC

The Flash
Okay, this book made me like the Flash again, haven't really cared about the flash too much since they brought Barry back, I really liked Wally, (at least till he had those stupid kids) and the last two flash series were just awful, but this book was great, don't like that Iris and Barry are not together, why do that, just doesn't make sense to me, isn't that what the whole Flash mythos is about, Barry and Iris and their family, still this is an excellent book.
THE FLASH 5 out or 5
Justice league
What can be said about this book, it's fantastic, I like that it's set in the past (at least for now) of the NEW DCU, looking forward to the formation of the complete team, just don't like that they made Hal kind of stupid/arrogant at times but liked the interaction between Flash and Green Lantern in issue two, and is Superman an arrogant prick in this book too or is it just me?
JUSTICE LEAGUE 5 out of 5
*Same old, Same Old*
By that I mean these books are relatively unchanged by the reboot
Green Lantern
Follows on from where War of the Green Lanterns left off, Hal Jordan ringless on earth, Sinestro with Green Lantern ring stuck on his finger, not really any change from the previous storyline, not a new reader friendly book but if you got Green Lantern before, GET THIS!
GREEN LANTERN 5 out of 5
Green Lantern Corps
Again, Follows on from where War of the Green Lanterns left off, definitely a Guy Gardner and John Stewart book but I'm sure your other favorite GL's will show up in time, maybe more new reader friendly than Green Lantern but you still have to know who the GL'S are to like this book.
GREEN LANTERN CORPS 4 out of 5
Green Lantern New Guardians
After a quick recap of Kyle Rayner's GL's Origin the story begins, all the other color rings are seeking Kyle out and the other Lanterns are not happy, this book has the full spectrum of lanterns, except Black and White, not a bad book and maybe the most new reader friendly of all the GL books because of Kyle's origin recap, but maybe not
GREEN LANTERN NEW GUARDIANS 4 ½ out of 5
Batwoman
Not changed in anyway by the reboot, if you got the Batwoman run in Detective Comics and Batwoman number Zero and Liked them, get this book, Kate Kane is a great character, I'm not sure what's happened to Renee Montoya but hope she shows up and if she's still the Question that would great
BATWOMAN 5 out of 5
Detective Comics
Haven't gotten a Batman book in a long time but I'm pretty sure not much has changed for Batman with the Reboot, don't have much to say about this book, not really into batman but wanted to check out some bat books, decent book want to see what happens next.
DETECTIVE COMICS 4 out of 5
Batman the Dark Knight
Again, just wanted to check out some bat books, good story, want to see what happens next.
BATMAN THE DARK KNIGHT 3 ½ out of 5
*Books that make me want to CRY!*
Not that they weren't an okay read, it's just things about them were not as good as they should have been
Wonder Woman
A good book, interested in where the story is going, but artwork not great for a Wonder Woman comic, what was really bad was Wonder Woman's costume, it's a good start, needs more stars, get rid of that damn thing around her neck, and change all the silver to gold and I think it would be a lot better, of course then it would look a little like her old costume
you see where I'm going with this right?
WONDER WOMAN 4 out of 5
Superman
This isn't your Fathers Superman
Superman is kind of an arrogant prick, and a brooding Clark Kent just doesn't work, the erasing of Lois and Clarks relationship
BAD! Superman's costume, okay I can do without the red underoos that's fine, but the armor like look, SUCKS!, what the hell does Superman need armor for?
SUPERMAN 3 ½ out of 5
Action Comics
This is a little better book than superman but not by much, He's still arrogant, I like the fact that it is set earlier in the DC universe, and that lex is going after Superman, but it still just doesn't feel like Superman.
ACTION COMICS 4 out of 5
SuperGirl
The last supergirl origin that was done in the Batman/Superman Comic was PERFECT! Why the HELL! Redo it again just for the sake of redoing it again, that pisses me off, SG's costume, you're kidding with the boots right? And what's with the triangle at the crotch how is that better than a skirt?
SUPERGIRL 3 out of 5
Captain Atom
I miss the shiny armor Captain Atom with the boots, gloves and Hair, he's now like a poor man's Dr Manhattan, story is kind of interesting, want to see where it's going.
CAPTAIN ATOM 3 out of 5
Green Arrow
If you want a Smallville Green Arrow comic this is probably as close as you can get, it's just not the Ollie we knew, nothing about this comic says Green Arrow he could be any archer with a bow, you could slap another name on this comic and it wouldn't matter
the story's not that great, is okay, just don't call this comic Green Arrow.
GREEN ARROW 2 out of 5
The Savage Hawkman
Let me start by saying I love Hawkman, but this book was a bit of a letdown, it had some good parts like the new Hawkman armor and the way it forms on him now, the story was okay, but we don't know anything about Carter Hall, is he the reincarnation of Prince Khufu, has he had past lives, is he still cursed by Hath-Set, where is Shiera, is the reason he's burning his armor at the beginning of the book because of what happened in brightest day, what the hell is actually going on?
THE SAVAGE HAWKMAN 3 out of 5
Batgirl
Very good book, like the villain, The Mirror, enjoy Barbara as Batgirl again but just not sure it was the right decision, Barbara was a much better central character as oracle, I think this book would have been better served if Stephanie Brown was still batgirl and maybe have Barbara as oracle in it, I think they made Barbara batgirl again just for the sake of making her Batgirl again, not really any reason for it.
BATGIRL 4 ½ out of 5
Justice League International
I thought this book was going to lead on from where Justice League Generation Lost left off, big disappointment because it just didn't really do that, happy they kept Fire and Ice on the team, wish Captain Atom was there too, just not the book I thought it was going to be, I just don't think this book will have the great team interaction with one another that Generation Lost had.
JUSTICE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL 2 ½ out of 5
*Do we need these books?*
Red Lanterns
Do we really need this book, I don't think so, an okay book, interested in what they are going to do with Atrocitus but I just don't think that is enough for this to be its own book, no this should have been a multi Lantern book similar to Green Lantern Corps but with all the other lantern colors and their interaction with each other and they could have still done the Atrocitus story in it.
RED LANTERNS 3 OUT OF 5
Justice League Dark
Is this really a book we need, how many overwhelming magical threats in the DC Universe can there be that we need a whole Justice League team of magic users and a book about them, I don't really see this going anyplace after the initial story arc is finished, there was just recently a magic user book, Shadowpact and it had more going for it than this Justice League book does, interesting characters and story, just not anyplace for this comic to go story wise, most of these characters would do better if they were on other teams.
JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK 3 out of 5
Stormwatch
Do you think we need this book, do we really need a team superior to the Justice League (or think they are) the story is great, the moon attacking the earth I think that's very cool, but wouldn't this story be just as good or better as a Justice league story, put Martian Manhunter back on the Justice League and move on to something else.
